FIRE SAFETY 2800 euros

One of the biggest problems at  the hospitality centre for the refugees, PIKPA, is the lack of fire safety and the insufficient fire protection of the area. PIKPA, is in the middle of a pine forest and therefore, there is a high risk of fire due to the electrical heating of the wooden houses and the tents. In the past and when PIKPA operated as a summer camp, there was relevant equipment which unfortunately, now is outdated and impossible to reuse. Therefore the following activities are imperative

Α) Pumping station 1000 euros

In the area, there is a electric powered pumping station from drilling. What is needed in order for it to become operational is a proper maintenance of the electric motor and the respective power board (cost 200 euros) and additionally, the need to buy a gasoline pump to use in case of a power cut a cause of the fire. Β) Fire extinguishing stations/nests 800 euros

In the area, there is a fire-extinguishing network which is not fully operational as there is a problem with some destroyed pipes. The whole network restoring will cost 200 euros plus another 200 euros for the purchase of fire nest (4X50=200)
